The
Drop Band HISTORY
The
Drop Band was born in 1997 as the house band for Paul Mascott
and Hank Wagner's Downtown New York City theatre piece DROP.
The show was well received and Paul kept the concept together
to begin workng on recording commercial records with the act.
1998 was spent doing writing and recording pre production
demos for over 12 hours worth of music, some of which has
ended up on subsequent albums.
Over the course of 1999-2002 we released four records and
despite being broke beyond belief managed to get airplay,
licensing and critical acclaim worldwide.
In 2003, Paul and Christine relocated to Massachussetts after
9/11 began taking its toll on the music community in NYC and
since have been performing Drop Band music throughout the
Northeast US. |
